FAQs
One Final Thing...
ALL of our stewards on the field and in the car parks are volunteers who have given up their time to help make the O.V.T.E. a great family day out. Our staff have the right to do their duty without being verbally abused, therefore, we operate a strict zero tolerance policy for all our staff. If anyone behaves in an unacceptable manor towards our staff, they will be asked to leave the field.

Gerard Francis
1945 - 2020
Honorary Alderman and 3 times Town Mayor of Otley, Gerard Francis, has sadly passed away, aged 74, after a short illness. Gerard served on Leeds City Council for 4 years from 1976 representing Otley & Wharfedale ward and again in 2003-04.
Gerard was the brother of Event Organiser Nigel Francis and worked on every Otley Vintage Transport Extravaganza both as a steward and in the Secretary’s caravan and helped with many other Otley organisations.
He was a hardworking member of the community who enjoyed working for the good of Otley across party lines and for the benefit of everyone. He will be sadly missed by many.
The 2022 Otley Vintage Transport Extravaganza will be dedicated to Gerard Francis
